TCJRD Road Trip: Fargo!

Sorry that this has taken a while; communication with our friends in North Dakota has been slower than we'd like. Here's the scoop for everyone coming to Fargo this Saturday:

- Skaters need to be at the Civic Center (map: http://g.co/maps/c5hf4) at 4 PM, in gear, for warmups

- Parents (but not skaters) will need tickets to the bout ($10)--$2 off if they mention TCJRD

- If anyone is looking for rides or sharing of accommodations, please post on our Facebook wall (http://www.facebook.com/tcjrd)

Update on the pre-game Rollergirls Bout 3/31

We’re still working out details for the MN Rollergirls pre-game bout on March 31. This we know: The advanced skaters will be a part of this event; unfortunately, because there are two teams involved (TCJRD and NERDY), the Rollergirls can’t accommodate the beginners from our team. We are working on a group price for them and for any TCJRDers who’d like to come; we’ll let you know about this soon. Parents of skaters will need to purchase tickets.

Full information and forms to sign up for the Spring 2012 session is now online in the Sign Up section. We’ve set up an online form for basic skater information and health info; there are also a few forms that you’ll need to download and fill out and sign.

Remember that our signup and first practice is Tuesday, Feb 7 at 5:30!

2012 Travel Team

For Spring, we’re working on 1-2 out-of-town bouts against other teams. We’ll be selecting a travel team of willing participants in a few weeks, when we set our schedule. More to come!

Demo bout for the Minnesota Rollergirls 3/31

We’ve been invited by the Minnesota Rollergirls to participate in a pre-game bout on March 31! Details to come, but mark the date now!

Spring Session 2012 Dates & Location

Thanks to all for your patience while we were finding a new location! We have secured practice space at the NE Minneapolis Armory on Tuesday nights for Spring 2012. (See the FAQ Page for address and map).

With the change in venue, we will also be moving the day of the week for our practices to Tuesday nights. The NE Armory is a smaller space than the St. Paul Armory, and so we will be having practice for younger and beginning skaters from 5:30-7, and more experience skaters from 7-9. Our first practice will be held on February 7; we ask that everyone come at 5:30 that day to finish paperwork and to determine which group is a best fit for them.

You can alway check our calendar for practice dates, times and more!

We’re also working on scheduling several demo bouts with adult leagues, as well and bouts with out-of-town leagues.

It’s going to be a great Spring! For full information on registration, visit the FAQ page. The fees are $99 per child for the session; scholarships are available.

Preregistration for Winter/Spring

If you’re planning on skating with us this Spring session, please hold your spot by going to our online Preregistration Form.

We are planning this session to run from February-June, 2012.

We will be trying to move most of the final registration paperwork online this session, for your convenience, but this is just a place to hold a spot for your skater and see how many trainers we will need for each age group.

Practice Space

As you may know, the St. Paul Armory is scheduled to be completely renovated beginning in the next few months, which means that we need to find new space. We have several promising spots, and hope to confirm a space next week. All of the locations are in the east metro (St. Paul or nearby).
